Alexandrites that large would very rarely be cut as rounds so I suspect that your stone is a synthetic or a lab grown stone. If you want to know for sure, send the stone to a qualified and experienced gemologist. A fine quality natural stone that size would wholesale for between $3000 to $12,000/ct. Lab grown or synthetic stones don’t have any resale value except for the value of the gold in the ring. |
